Planning Manager - PMO

Bulk Infrastructure is seeking a Planning Manager to take a strategic and operational role in strengthening our project portfolio and ensuring predictable, high‑quality execution across the organisation.

Located within the PMO, you will serve as a key link across the project lifecycle, from early phase to construction. You will drive integrated planning and planning governance across the entire project landscape, ensuring early‑phase assumptions, development inputs, and execution plans are fully aligned. By equipping Project Managers with clear structure and delivering portfolio‑level insights, risk assessments, and scenario analysis, you will strengthen decision‑making throughout the project organisation.
What you’ll do:
As our Planning Manager, your key responsibilities will be to:
Develop and maintain integrated multi‑discipline project schedules.
Ensure schedules comply PMO standards and best practices.
Lead progress monitoring, schedule variance analysis, performance reporting, and milestone forecasting.
Conduct schedule risk assessments and uncertainty analyses to strengthen forecasting accuracy and support scenario‑based decision‑making.
Identify risks, trends, and mitigation opportunities early to enable proactive project steering.
Facilitate schedule reviews, planning workshops, and alignment sessions with key stakeholders.
Drive improvements in planning tools, templates, and digital workflows, including exploring new technologies such as generative AI.
Provide planning insights to support workforce and resource forecasting.
Who you are:
You bring structure to complex situations and use analytical thinking to create reliable plans. You identify risks early, ask the right questions, and approach challenges with a strategic problem‑solving mindset. You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and adapt quickly when plans change. You take initiative, seek better ways of working, and help raise planning quality across the organisation.
What you bring:
10 years of experience in project planning for construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or similar
Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar tools
Proven experience leading planning for complex, multi‑stakeholder projects
Solid understanding of critical path, sequencing, risk, and schedule control
Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills
Fluency in English, written and spoken
It is beneficial if you also have:
Experience with data centres, energy or mission‑critical environments
Planning certifications (PMI‑SP, AACE PSP)
Experience with integrated project controls or earned value management
Experience coaching or developing other planners
Some travel to our sites will be required.
