Operations Technician
Do you want to work hands-on with the systems that keep one of Europe's largest and most energy-efficient data center campuses running around the clock?
Are you a practical, technically curious problem-solver who likes to understand how things work and enjoys being part of a tight-knit team? Bulk Infrastructure is expanding our N01 campus, and to support this growth we are hiring Operations Technicians to join our shift teams. We are looking for people with a mechanical or electrical background who want to build a career in critical infrastructure. You do not need data center experience. We will give you thorough training on our systems.
At Bulk, our mission is to build sustainable infrastructure that supports the digital society of tomorrow. As one of the leading providers of sustainable, high-performance data center solutions in the Nordics, we design and operate infrastructure that powers the digital economy, efficiently, securely and with renewable energy. As an Operations Technician, you will play a key role in keeping the site safe and stable, every hour of the day.
What you'll do:
You will work in a shift team responsible for the day-to-day operation of the mechanical, cooling, electrical, and supporting systems across the N01 campus.
Your responsibilities will include:
Operating and monitoring critical systems such as cooling and HVAC, pumps, chillers, ventilation and electrical distribution
Carrying out rounds and inspections, and spotting issues before they become problems
Responding to alarms, deviations and incidents, and taking part in troubleshooting
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance in line with procedures and work instructions
Using BMS and other monitoring tools to keep track of system performance
Following up contractors and service partners working on site during your shift
Taking part in HSE activities such as safety inspections, risk assessments and work permit routines
Keeping accurate logs and documentation, and handing over clearly to the next shift
The role is part of a rotating shift schedule covering days, nights, weekends and holidays, as our site operates 24/7.
Who are you?
You are reliable, structured, and comfortable taking responsibility when you are on shift. You communicate clearly, work well in a team, and stay calm when something unexpected happens. Above all, you prioritize safety and take pride in doing things properly.
What you bring:
A trade certificate or technical education within a mechanical or electrical discipline, for example industrial mechanics, refrigeration and heat pumps, plumbing/HVAC, mechatronics, electrician or automation
Hands-on experience from technical operations, maintenance, building services or an industrial environment
A strong HSE mindset and commitment to safe work
The ability to follow procedures and document your work
Willingness to work rotating shifts
Good communication skills in English. Norwegian or another Scandinavian language is an advantage
It is beneficial if you also have:
Experience with cooling systems, pumps, HVAC or other mechanical systems
Experience with BMS or other monitoring systems
Experience from shift work or environments operating around the clock, such as energy, process industry, offshore or maritime
Do not let a few unmet requirements hold you back from applying. If you have the right attitude and a solid technical foundation, we would love to hear from you.
What we offer our Bulkies:
Thorough training on our systems and the opportunity to develop with a growing site
A dynamic, growth-oriented workplace with a strong sustainability focus
Comprehensive insurance (health, travel for business and private) and annual health check
Monthly contribution to home internet costs and sustainable commuting
Annual wellness allowance to support an active lifestyle
Fully paid parental leave
