HSSE Manager
Do you want to shape safe, compliant, and secure operations in mission‑critical environments?
Are you an experienced HSSE professional with strong Health & Safety expertise and solid oversight of physical security operations? Bulk Infrastructure is looking for an HSSE Manager to take site-level responsibility for HSE performance and physical security at our DK01 data centre in Denmark.
At Bulk, our mission is to build sustainable infrastructure that supports the digital society of tomorrow. As one of the leading providers of sustainable, high-performance data center solutions in the Nordics, we design and operate infrastructure that powers the digital economy – efficiently, securely, and with renewable energy.
In this role, you will have overall responsibility for HSSE at site level, ensuring compliance with Danish regulatory standards while maintaining robust security structures, procedures, and contractor oversight. You will act as the site authority for HSSE matters, driving a proactive safety culture and ensuring our physical security environment remains resilient and effective in a contractor-intensive environment.
What you’ll do:
This will be a shared role, with responsibility for both HSE and Security, and will include:
Lead and implement site‑specific HSE/SHA plans and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company standards
Conduct inspections, audits, and follow up on incidents, corrective actions, and environmental obligations
Manage external security contractors and ensure effective access control, perimeter protection, visitor management, and guard services
Carry out security reviews, risk assessments, ensure adherence to site security protocols, and lead security‑related improvement projects
Document and escalate security incidents and support development of physical security procedures
Ensure HSSE compliance among subcontractors and service providers and promote a strong HSSE culture through inductions and training
Track HSSE performance metrics, report to leadership, and drive continuous improvement and proactive risk identification
Who are you?
You are a structured and confident HSSE professional who thrives in operational environments. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and are comfortable acting as the HSSE authority on site. You balance regulatory rigor with pragmatic decision-making and build trust across contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You remain composed under pressure, adapt quickly to changing situations, and maintain a high standard of documentation and follow-through.
What you bring:
Relevant education in HSE, engineering, construction, or equivalent practical experience
Recognised HSE certification
Strong understanding of Danish HSE regulations
Minimum 5 years experience in HSE within construction, infrastructure, energy, or industrial environments
Experience from contractor-intensive sites
Exposure to or oversight of physical security operations
Strong proficiency in English and Danish, written and spoken
It is preferred if you also have:
Security-related training or hands-on experience with physical site security (e.g., access control, CCTV, guarding services)
Experience working in mission-critical environments such as data centres, energy facilities, or industrial plants
Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
Why join us?
A rare opportunity to work across both HSE and Security at a mission-critical site
Influence safety, security, and sustainability in a high‑growth, high‑impact industry
Be part of a collaborative, purpose‑driven organisation with a strong sustainability profile
What we offer our Bulkies:
